Membership for Individuals, Families and Self Advocates
You’re Not Alone!
When you join The Arc you become part of a network of over 24,000 Hoosier members and 150,000 members nationwide – families, self-advocates, and individuals who provide support, information and encouragement to one another. Membership in The Arc provides a sense of purpose and belonging.
Help Continue The Arc’s Mission
When you join The Arc you belong to a well-established and respected state and national association. Members are essential as we continue our mission of advocating for a better life for Indiana’s citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Make Your Voice Heard
When you join you become a part of the nation’s largest grassroots movement that works to protect the rights of people with disabilities and to ensure that resources and supports are available to meet their needs. You unite with many strong voices that public officials listen to and respect in the Indiana General Assembly and Washington, D.C.
When you join The Arc you will receive the The Arc News In Indiana and EMPOWER quarterly. You can subscribe to e-newsletters from The Arc of Indiana and The Arc US and you will receive information about trainings, conferences and special events.
How Do I Join?
If there is a local chapter of The Arc in your county, you can join The Arc through your local chapter. Contact your local chapter for membership information.
When you join at the local level, you are also a member of The Arc of Indiana and The Arc US.
You can also join as an “at large” member of The Arc of Indiana and The Arc US.
Membership for Organizations and Businesses
Are you connected to a corporation, academic institution, a supporting nonprofit, a government entity or a consultant or small business/professional services provider? If so, your organization may wish to become an Organizational Member of The Arc, and take advantage of membership benefits as it supports Indiana’s largest disability membership-based association.
The Arc has four Organizational Membership categories:
- Professional Membership
- Academic Membership
- Non-Profit Membership
- Corporate/Business Membership
Organizational membership is designed to allow organizations to show support for The Arc’s mission and establish a strong connection with the intellectual and developmental disability community.
Membership gives you an opportunity to reach out to a state network of chapters, professionals in the field, volunteers and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families and demonstrate your commitment to their needs.
Choose your category of membership and join today to further your promotional and philanthropic goals while helping expand The Arc’s advocacy, programs and services. Each of the membership categories provides a variety of benefits appropriate for the classification and level of membership.
