Self-Advocates of Indiana is guided and governed by the SAI Board of Directors. The board includes up to 30 self-advocates from 8 Regions across the state. There are three representatives per region, as well as three At-Large Representatives and three members appointed by the board.
The board meets each quarter for board meetings. Each member participates on at least one committee. Committees are led by the SAI Officers and meet on a monthly basis by phone.
These are the Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms, and Past President. Officers have additional leadership responsibilities, such as chairing committees.
Awareness & Training Committee
This committee leads initiatives that increase awareness and educate self-advocates and the community about public policy, disability rights, and more.
This committee helps plan the SAI Conference.
This committee oversees the fundraising, planning, and executing of the SAI Annual Picnic.
