Medicaid Expansion & Managed Care

Indiana has a unique opportunity to expand health care coverage to Hoosiers, and grow the economy, by expanding Medicaid coverage as provided under the Affordable Care Act. As part of the Medicaid expansion debate, Indiana is exploring the development of a managed care program for all persons in the “aged, blind and disabled” population for acute and long-term care. This would have a significant impact on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, and those who provide services and supports to this unique population.
