May 5 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

We all have the right to self-determination, meaning we all have the right to decide what our life should look like and take steps toward achieving that. But what does that look like? Join us on May 5th for a presentation and guided discussion about Supported Decision Making. Input from this forum will be used to guide Indiana’s state plan and policy for implementing Supported Decision Making at the state-level.

This forum is being put on by Self-Advocates of Indiana in Partnership with the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community (IIDC) at Indiana University.

PLEASE NOTE: This forum is intended for self-advocates only. We appreciate the support friends, family, and staff provide on a daily basis, but in our experience, the conversation around Supported Decision Making changes dramatically when there are people without disabilities in the room. This forum is a space for self-advocates to talk candidly about decision-making experiences (or lack thereof). If you help a loved one or client access this discussion, please give them some space and privacy to honestly contribute.

This Forum is being held at 2:00pm and 7:00pm EDT. You will need to register for the session you wish to attend.
