During Disability Awareness Month (March, 2008) the Self-Advocates of Grant and Blackford County presented Disability Awareness certificates to the following people/businesses:

1. Deflecto (Indianapolis) for contract work to sheltered workshop at Carey Services

2. Twoson Tool (Blackford Co) same

3. Butterworth’s (Grant Co) same

4. Franklin Electric (Grant/Blackford Co) same

5. International Paper (Blackford Co) same

6. City of Marion Transportation-appreciation for accessible public transportation (bus) system

7. Elder Beerman Department Store (Grant Co) –for choosing Docu-shield shredding service through Carey Services

8. School Employees Federal Credit Union – (Grant Co) same

9. Indiana Wesleyan- (Grant Co) same

10. Pro-prints (Grant Co) – for taking the time to make the necessary accessibility modification when building their new building

11. Denny’s Dollar (Blackford Co) – hiring
